Welcome to the blog of the Refugee Elder Program! This is our first step into the world of blogging, but we are excited about the journey. Through this blog, we hope our staff, teachers, and volunteers of the Elder Program, as well as the larger community around us, will be able to gain a greater understanding of the impact of the Refugee Elder Program. We plan to share inspiring stories- as well as some amusing ones- client recipes, volunteer spotlights, and general updates about what's happening at the Refugee Elder Program...and believe me, there is always something happening!
I would like to thank all of the individuals who have been involved in the Refugee Elder Program- from the staff to the teachers to the volunteers to all of our partners who make the program possible- we simply could not have done this program without you. You are the reason why this program continues to grow and continues to make an impact on the refugee elders and their families in the Louisville area. I hope this program will be successful for many years to come!
